PEAR TREE is a grotesque amusing story about love, jealousy, youth and age. The film is all about a young couple, Frieda and Bruno, who live in a world of distorted values and indulge themselves in the mania of ageing. Both wear old clothes, collect old things, talk like old people — and Bruno has affairs not only with elderly women. Frieda is jealous, but does not give up her love. Bruno already plans further and intends to face his own death of old age earlier.
